Our Home
Steadfast is a warm & welcoming home in a peaceful country setting.
Located a few miles north of the city of Frederick, the home sits on several acres of the Frederick Christian Fellowship (FCF) property, whose generous partnership supports us with a long term, rent-free lease agreement.
It’s more than just a shelter - it’s a safe & stable environment where youth can breathe, heal, & begin building a future.
A home & family life
Steadfast offers our youth the comforts & routines of family living, allowing them to find the space to feel secure. Life in the house mimics a family home with shared meals & responsibilities – all with the steady presence & support of a dedicated house-parent.
Shared bedrooms give a sibling-type experience, & other spaces in the home offer time for reflection. Youth also share household routines like cooking, chores, & community service.
The farmhouse lifestyle balances structure & independence – teaching responsibility, self-care, & life-skills in a nurturing, supportive space.

From the Streets to Safety...
The Experience of a Steadfast Youth
When a youth becomes a Steadfast resident, we break the cycle of poverty, crime, & failed education. Many teens who are left out of the system find themselves at high risk for abuse, trafficking, assault, mental illness, physical ailments, dropping out of school, & worst of all – losing their lives.
We surround our youth with peers & positive adult role models, creating a community in which they feel welcome.
We focus on building confidence & independence for the future, so they can build themselves up for success & break the chain of homelessness.
Our youth get the support, structure, & proper nutrition – essential for learning & graduating school.
Many of our youth need a period of time to heal from trauma – they must come out of survival mode to truly thrive.
We empower our youth & help them access mental, physical, & sexual health resources as their minds & bodies grow.
Youth who have transitioned out of Steadfast are always welcomed back for visits or for support – there will always be a seat at the dinner table, & someone available to guide them along life’s journey.
