Partnerships That Change Lives: Two Youth Gain the Keys to Independence
At Steadfast, we witness every day how compassion & community can change the course of a young person’s life. Recently, two of our residents experienced life-changing moments thanks to the generosity & collaboration of local Frederick, Maryland partners who believe in their potential & purpose.
A Gift of Grace & Generosity
Through the incredible kindness of the Waterboyz for Jesus, one of our youth, Michael, received a fully donated car. It was titled in Michael’s name, complete with new tires & two months of auto insurance. An anonymous member of the group heard Michael’s story & was moved by his dedication to education, work, & personal growth. Believing Michael was on a righteous path, this individual chose to bless him with the gift of mobility & freedom.
Michael, who juggles college classes & a part-time job, was shocked & deeply touched by this unexpected act of love & faith. The impact of having reliable transportation will be immense, allowing him to pursue his goals without the barriers of limited access to work or school.
We’re beyond grateful for our partnership with the Waterboyz for Jesus. As their member Paul Foss shared, “The Waterboyz for Jesus loves to partner with Steadfast to provide young men an opportunity to connect to true community & God’s purpose for their life. We can go places together that we can’t go alone.”
Together, we are indeed going places—toward brighter futures for our youth.

When Community Comes Together, Barriers Fall Away
In another inspiring story, one of our residents recently achieved a major milestone – purchasing a car! Thanks to the combined support of SHIP of Frederick County & Second Chances Garage. Their partnership removed a critical barrier that often stands between young people & self-sufficiency: reliable transportation. We are beyond grateful for the families who give the incredible gift of a vehicle – a donation that truly changes lives.
This new vehicle opens doors to consistent work, education, & independence, helping our youth move forward with confidence and purpose. Acts of kindness like this can’t be measured in dollars; their true value lies in the freedom & hope they bring.
From all of us at Steadfast, we offer our deepest gratitude to the Waterboyz for Jesus, SHIP of Frederick County, & Second Chances Garage for helping our youth take these incredible steps toward independence.
Because when our community comes together, lives are transformed – & the road ahead becomes a little kinder, brighter, & easier for everyone.
